Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Ny säsong!

Details about the final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine have largely been kept classified so far in order to surprise fans, but both the cast and writing team have previously stated that the season will address the Black Lives Matter movement and issues of systemic inequality. Beyond that, fans can look forward to seeing Jake and Amy (Melissa Fumero) adjusting to life as new parents. This may be the last ride for the detectives of the 99th precinct, but the new teaser trailer for season 8 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine makes it all the more certain that the highly anticipated final season will live up to the hype. -Screenrant.com

Beyond those systemic issues, the new season will also need to address the reality of life during a pandemic. Talking with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Dan Goor, “We think there is a value to escapism, but at the same time, we don’t want to be ignorant. There is a debate about what next year will look like. I don’t think anybody wants us to, nor do we want to, have our characters toiling away in the depths of the pandemic. I don’t think that’s the direction we’ll go in. “But the question is how they have been affected by the virus and the pandemic as New York City residents and as first responders in New York City. How do we keep the show funny? How do we do that while still making them of this world and of their world? It’s challenging.

Säsong 8 av Brooklyn Nine-Nine, vilket även kommer bli seriens sista har premiär på NBC den 12 augusti. Säsong 1-7 finns att se på Netflix men är i skrivande stund inte känt om/när säsong 8 kommer bli tillgänglig på Netflix.

Stumptown hade premiär 2019 och får nu en nypremiär i Sverige på Disney+ den 11 augusti. Serien blev förnyad för en säsong 2 men var en av de första serierna att få ett omvänt beslut pga Covid-19.

In May 2020, the series was renewed for a second season.[3] In September 2020, it was announced that ABC had reversed the renewal decision and canceled the series after one season, as production delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic meant the series would not be ready until April 2021. ABC Studios is reportedly trying to sell the series to another network or streaming site.[4]

Den forna Top Gear trion kommer tillbaka med en ny säsong av The Grand Tour, denna gång är det dock lite annorlunda då inspelningen skedde mitt under Covid-19. Den nya säsongen har fått det passande namnet The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown och har premiär på Amazon Prime Video den 30 juli.

Premiären för Fast & Furious 9 har blivit framflyttad flera gånger på grund av Covid-19 men nu är väntan snart över. Då filmen endast har premiär på Bio är det svårt att säga exakt när den har premiär i just din stad. Premiärdatum skiljer sig allt från 25 juni-16 juli, beroende på vilken sida man kollar på, kolla biografen närmast dig för ett exakt datum. Vi kommer även få se ett helt nytt ansikte och det är ingen mindre än Gina Torres, känd för bland annat sin roll i Suits som Jessica Pearson. Liv Tyler har valt att hoppa av serien på grund av Coronapandemin.

”Torres is a new addition to the cast which returns for a second season without one of season one’s big name stars. Liv Tyler opted not to return for season two due to travel concerns around the Covid-19 pandemic. Tyler lives in London with her family and didn’t want to risk the international flights to Los Angeles while the pandemic is raging.”

The premiere episode, which was written by The Resident staff writer turned story editor Dr. Daniela Lamas and Harvard Medical School graduate Eric I. Lu, premieres Jan. 12 and will take place in the near future as Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry) and nurse practitioner Nic Nevin (Emily VanCamp) are preparing to get married. The episode will flash back to the worst of the pandemic, when the doctors and nurses of the fictional Chastain Park Memorial Hospital were inundated with COVID patients — including several of their own employees — before depicting the moment when Conrad and Nic finally walk down the aisle. –Hollywoodreporter.com

The Resident är en av få serier som valt att ”leva” i en värld efter Covid-19 och beskriver beslutet så här:

”You can’t ignore COVID, and nor did we want to. We wanted to tell the story of COVID, we wanted to honor all the front-line medical workers — of whom a bunch are our writing staff,” says Andrew Chapman, who started with The Resident in season one and was recently elevated to co-showrunner.
But with The Resident not returning until midseason, Chapman and the rest of the writers imagined that the world would likely be different than it was in June when the season four writers room returned to work. ”We thought that by the time we got on air — January, February, March of 2021 — not just the public but we as staff writers were going to be so underwater with COVID and COVID stories, and so sick of the pandemic and being locked down and the tragedy of it. We were trying to figure out a way that we can both honor the front-line workers and tell a story that’s compelling, so we made a sort of educated guess.”

When the second season returns, the show will accurately reflect the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the Black Lives Matter protests. When Season 2 begins, not only are the characters of CBS’ courtroom drama dealing with COVID-19 (Samantha Marie Ware’s legal clerk Ness Johnson is brought on to help with the backlog as a result), they’re also tackling police protests.
The synopsis for the Season 2 two-part premiere states, ”Lola and Mark try to rebuild their friendship after Mark witnessed Lola being detained during a protest while defending a teen girl amid an escalating encounter with police,” the logline for the first part reads. We’ll learn what happened that night and see the long-lasting effects on Lola, Mark, public defender Emily Lopez (Jessica Camacho), clerk Luke Watkins (J.
