An accident on a rainy night changes three people’s lives forever. Meryem and her boyfriend Oktay on the driver’s seat hit something that night. However, Oktay hides the fact that they hit a woman, instead, he tells that they hit an empty barrel. Meryem is an innocent, young girl who is hoping to get married to Oktay who promised to get married when he becomes a prosecutor. After the car crash, during the interrogation, Meryem tries to protect Oktay who was drunk-driving that night and lies to the police officer that she was the one behind the wheels. Not even realizing that this lie will change her life forever, turning her into a criminal. She was just protecting the man she loved and his future career believing that no one was harmed. Savaş, who lost the love of his life just after she said yes to his proposal, cannot recover and decides to find out the truth behind the so called accident. Blinded by revenge he goes after Meryem mistakenly believing that she is the killer. While he tortures her and turns her life upside down the reality comes to light by series of events. Meryem also victimized and cheated by the man she sacrificed her life for, left alone until love comes into the equation of two wounded souls. The story will evolve towards a completely different direction when Savaş and Meryem join forces and start to find the missing pieces of the brutal puzzle. Magnum P.I.': SAVED! NBC Orders 2 Seasons Of 10-Episodes Each! | GeekTown

Magnum P.I. visades under 4 säsonger på CBS, bolaget valde i maj att avsluta serien.

In May 2022, the series was canceled after four seasons, following the network’s failure to reach a new agreement with rightsholder NBCUniversal, despite being a Top 25 show in viewers.

According to Deadline, the 20 episodes will be divided into two seasons, bringing the reboot’s run to 96 episodes, with an option for more. The clock was running out on the action drama, with CBS Studios, which co-produces the series with Universal TV, not extending the options on the cast, which were set to expire at the end of Thursday, June 30.
However, with NBC agreeing to pick up the series, cast members are now signing on and finalizing deals to return for the upcoming seasons. In addition to Hernandez, the show also stars Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang, and Amy Hill. Showrunner Eric Guggenheim is expected to return, alongside executive producers Justin Lin, John Davis, and John Fox. According to Deadline, the series will continue to be a co-production between Universal TV and CBS Studios.

As per reports, the new season was shot soon after the first one. The second season will answer a number of questions that went unanswered in the initial one. The viewers will get to see if Luka returns to the Elite Way School and if MJ goes on to become a pop star.
The show will also answer if Sebas be held responsible for her actions. The show makers might also explore the potential relationship between Jana and Esteban.  The second season might also get a new band as rivals for the six leads.
