Starz has given an early Season 2 renewal to Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Ahead of its Season 1 premiere on July 18, Starz has greenlighted a second season of the prequel series to the original Power franchise. Additionally, Antonio Ortiz, who recurs in Season 1 as Shawn “Famous” Figueroa, has been upped to series regular for Season 2.

Donna and Harvey spend their first night together as a couple (second overall), but decide on holding off on telling their colleagues until the fall-out of Robert’s disbarment has been settled. Harvey and Samantha fight to keep Robert’s clients from leaving while they are actively being pursued by Eric Kaldor, who offers to stop in exchange for ten of Harvey’s clients. Alex is approached by a representative of the New York bar association who hints that they have the power to replace Louis by Alex if they continue to refuse to remove Zane’s name. After using that information to convince Louis, Alex attempts to organize a vote between the four remaining name partners and Donna, but Samantha threatens to reveal to the Bar what really happened if they remove Robert’s name. According to the show’s website, Season 5 of ”Animal Kingdom” will be split between the past and present of the Cody family. In the present, the family is struggling to recover from the death of Smurf. ”Pope, Craig, Deran and J still are dealing with the fallout from the events surrounding Smurf’s death, including family members out for revenge,” the site states. Smurf had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. InSseason 4, she planned an elaborate heist that would have let her die on her own terms, and possibly take Pope with her. Rather than let this happen, her grandson J (Finn Cole) shot her. In the past, we will see a young Smurf raising twins Pope and Julia while also ”leading the charge on dangerous jobs with new and old friends.” Sounds a little ”Godfather Part II,” no? Heirs to a crime family scramble to seize power after the death of their leader and parent, meanwhile the viewers are treated to flashbacks depicting how this leader got so important in the first place. ”At the end of the first series of Intelligence, we saw NSA agent Jerry Bernstein (David Schwimmer) narrowly avoid being extradited back to the States to face charges of treason. The aforementioned trailer showed Jack to be alive and well, although just who tried to end his life hasn’t yet been made clear. The trailer implies that this question will be the concrete plot-point throughout the third season, with even Jack himself not clear on who pulled the trigger.
